We are currently in the process of developing a new system for applying to be a volunteer at the school.  The clearances that prospective volunteers must get to volunteer at the school will remain unchanged, so continue to follow the listed directions for attaining the clearances themselves; however, the means in which they are submitted will be different after the 2017-2018 school year is complete.  A school-wide announcement will be made over the summer when this new system up and running. Please check back later for more details.

Other Important Questions:

If I intend to volunteer, when do I need to submit clearances to the school?

All MaST Community Charter School II volunteers will need to submit completed clearances/certifications prior to serving as a volunteer.

How recent do the clearances that I submit need to be?

The clearances you submit the first time must be from within the last calendar year.

How often must I update my clearances?

After the first time you submit your clearances, they must be updated within 60 months of the date on the document. When submitting or updating clearances, MaST Community Charter School II requests that all paperwork (or electronic copies of paperwork) be submitted at the same time.

Once I receive clearances, to whom do I submit them?

Once you have received your updated clearances and paperwork, please provide copies to the Human Resources Department. Simply bring copies to the front desk or submit them electronically through our Volunteer Clearance Submission Form.

If completing the Volunteer Affidavit described above, a witness’s signature by a member of our school personnel is required. If submitting this document, you MUST sign this document at the front desk.

What happens if I am arrested for or convicted of an offense that would constitute grounds for denying further participation as a school volunteer after I submit my clearances?

The volunteer must provide MaST Community Charter School II with written notice not later than 72 hours after the arrest, conviction, or notification that the volunteer has been listed as a perpetrator of child abuse in the statewide database.

MaST Community Charter School II remains committed to the health, well-being, and safety of our students. We thank you for your cooperation with us in implementing requirements resulting from changes to the Child Protective Services Law.
