Dear Parents/Guardians,
A warm hello to you from MaST II’s music classroom! My name is Ms. Heidi New, and I have the pleasure of exploring, making, and performing music with your child each week.
As the winter season approaches, we hope you will join us for a concert featuring your student. We will be having a Winter Performance for Kindergarten through Second Grade at MaST II on the following dates:
- 1st Grade on Tuesday, December 18th at 8:45 am
- 2nd Grade on Monday, December 17th at 8:45 am
- Kindergarten on Tuesday, December 18th at 1:30pm (K students will be dismissed at 2:00pm. Please wait in the MPR.)
The glass doors at the corner of Argyle St. and Robbins St. will be open for admission 10-15 minutes before each performance time. As much as we want you to come and see your child and get good seats, we need your cooperation to allow us time to make sure that the MPR is cleared of all students not participating and set up with enough seats for everyone. Each concert should run a total of 20-30 minutes. We will be recording each performance and will post videos to our Facebook page when they are uploaded.
Performing students, dressed in the MaST II uniform, must be in their classrooms by 8:30am for line up. Students who are performing that day may arrive with their parents by 8:30am and will not be marked tardy. Breakfast will not be provided after 8:15am. Again, students must be in their classroom by 8:30am in order to not be marked tardy for their performance day.
If you have any older students, don’t worry! They will have their time in the spotlight in the spring. 3rd grade students will be performing their play, Stone Soup, in the new year. 4th and 5th grade students will be gracing the stage in a Spring Concert this year featuring their work on recorders and other ensemble pieces.
I look forward to meeting all of you and sharing all of the hard work your children have put into this performance.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Heidi New
